We still find Miami and Broward stats on a west wall of glass, or in afternoon sun through a sidelight. The display says the house is hot. The interior rooms are already cool. The system runs to satisfy a wall that is not where people sit. That is not a failed outdoor unit. It is a sensor lying about the house.

Compare the display to a room people actually use
Stand in the living room and in the west hall at the same hour. If those two numbers disagree every afternoon, write both. Closed sliders versus open lanai changes the story. Equipment that never blows cold still belongs on A/C repair before anyone moves a stat.
